  1. LOVE that top! 🙂 And girl, burgundy was one of my wedding colors way back in 1999. It was in then too. Although at least we had the sense not to call it by the name of a bodily fluid. Geez.
And while I will happily wear most colors of the rainbow (except orange) I just don’t think I can get behind burnt sienna. How about blue violet? 🙂

  2. Amen about burgundy… I just feel all uppity saying oxblood!!!!

I totally thought you bought the top and jacket at the same place! They look PERFECT together!

  3. Love, love, love, love, LOVE! I prefer wine related names for this color (oxblood is so disturbing), but whatever you call it, it’s lovely on you!!! And can I just say, you have been rocking some seriously yummy arm parties lately, Molly! ~Sarah

  4. I would love to have something in raw umber. It just sounds rugged yet romantic. As in, “This is my raw umber dress and I wear it on romantic picnics that take place on mountain tops.”

I also find “ox blood” an incredibly disturbing visual. I’m glad my burgundy jeans were called “fig.” Fig is a heck of a lot more pleasant than ox blood.

  5. Hahaha Burnt Sienna. Brings me back to my elementary school days when I obsessively kept all my crayola crayons in rainbow color order! Whatever color you want to call it, I love the chevron top!

  6. Ha ha ha, I just watched Mean Girls on the weekend for like the 50th time! So glad you were impulsive because I’m madly in love with your top! The colour is so pretty and I love the print! I’m really in love with this entire outfit. All of your accessories are perfection!

  7. I was so engrossed in this post (on my iPhone) that I just legit walked into a door. I love the top! I can see why you snapped it up! I think I’d like to see jungle green trend again, although I can’t imagine what they’d call it!

  8. That chevron top is so cute! I would’ve bought it immediately too 🙂 I think it’s ridiculous that they come up with new names for colors that already existed every year. And love the Mean Girls reference!

  9. Haha, I totally agree. Who wants to wear oxblood!? It’s burgundy! They do this every year, they pick a color that has been around since forever and just re-name. You can’t blame them, there are only so many colors to choose from. Love your chevron top. It’s SO FETCH! 🙂

  10. Oh my gosh, girl! I love this outfit from top to toe! You were right to snag that chevron top! Fab! (And I agree with you about the oxblood, burgundy, wine color name! Funny!)

  11. Gretchen “fetch” is not a word…….. Bahahahaha. Agreed, burgundy was one f my sororities colors so I have loved it for years so I got a little upset when the fashion world claimed it haha!! Lurving thy velvet jacket lady!!!

  12. Bwwwaha, Fetch! I’ve been thinking the same thing, you get serious points for working in Mean Girls and Anchorman references in the same week. (And really, how weird is it that the same color gets renamed every single winter? True oxblood is more of a reddish brown, it’s not burgundy!)

This velvet blazer is so pretty, I love the thick waistband and the peplum flare, it’s really gorgeous looking. Whoops, I mean it’s so very “fetch.”

  13. Yeah, I don’t understand the whole oxblood thing either. It’s burgundy in my book! I think Robin’s Egg Blue needs to be a trend! It’s such a pretty shade that I think would be great for spring!
