  1. I’m ten months postpartum and jeans HURT. My belly is very sensitive, so I had resigned myself to wearing palazzo pants for the rest of my life… then it dawned on me a few weeks ago that I should just do maternity pants again since the waist is so soft! Dur! 😉 You look amazing! Nursing has kept me from losing weight too. Still embracing this time (there are still days where the extra weight is a struggle) and loving the fact that this change means I brought life into the world (after nearly three years of trying and on baby gone to heaven early in pregnancy). My mommy body is worth it! <3

  2. SAME. Mine is 5 and a half months old and nothing has gone back to the way it was (nor did the magic breastfeeding weightloss fairy visit me) but I have a beautiful little babe to show for it!

  3. I wore mine that long too, I felt more comfortable having that belly band. Don’t feel bad if you are still wearing them, no one will know. 🙂 You look amazing MAMA!

  4. I’m 13 months postpartum and still wear maternity shirts. Not the ones with rouching up the sides, but just regular stretchy ones. You can’t even tell. I also used my belly band for about four months until I just admitted to myself that I should probably just go up a size. No shame. Babies stretch things, and while some things fit now, it’s going to take a lot of work to get my thighs back to a reasonable size. Work that I’ll do once we’re done having kids.

  5. Jeans were that one item of clothing that took a bit longer to get back into comfortably for me after pregnancy. I remember being at the stage where maternity trousers and jeans were too loose but non-maternity too tight. It’s fine in the summer because you can wear a loose dress, but trousers were a different beast – the temptation to live in track pants was hard to resist! You look great in those jeans, and I love the coral top with the layered gold necklaces 🙂

  6. I am now six months postpartum and I wore my maternity jeans for quite a while too. But now I have bought a few new ones cause I feel like my whole bodyshape has changed and the pants I looked great in prepregnancy are so sloppy right now.. and because I still have a very soft belly I have trouble wearing certain shirts with maternity pants.

  7. I lost a lot of weight at first got pregnant. I couldn’t really eat for nearly 5 months and even then my appetite didn’t really return until my final month of pregnancy. When I lose weight I lose it off my bum, hips and thighs.. so right now all my ‘old’ jeans fit my squidgy tummy but are so baggy elsewhere I look like a 90s rapper wannabe or something. I don’t care at all though and I also don’t care about my now stripy tummy or my aching back.. I look at my 6 week old baby and I am in awe that I grew her.. It might be a perfectly everyday thing but I can’t help but be amazed at what our bodies can do.
