When I was prepping to go into labor and all that jazz during my first pregnancy, I put together some “Thank You” goodie bags for my nurses and hospital staff as a thank you for when I was in labor and delivery. They turned out to be a huge hit!
And while I loved the thank you bags I did the first time, I wanted to try something a little different this time and make it seem even a little MORE handmade.
So, in brainstorming, I decided to do some simple Lavender bath salts for my L&D people! That way I can hand them out to the wonderful staff who take care of me and my family during our stay. While this was intended for the nurses, midwives, and doctors… this is one of those DIY gifts that really could work for ANYONE!
I hope you like it!
Here’s what you need:
Fill your glass jar(s) with epsom salts. Depending on the size of your jar (totally eyeballed it… no exact science to this one), put between 5-8 drops of Lavender essential oil in the jar with the epsom salts. Shut the jar and give it a shake.
Voila! That’s it!
Then you can decorate and put a cute label and/or thank you note on it.
I wrote “Lavender Bath Salts” on my jars and then a little thank you note that says, “Soak in our THANKS for all your help! <3 The Stillman Family.”
Super easy and yet a great way to show your appreciation to all the people who help make your stay in the hospital or birthing center a little nicer!
