We are in the month of AUGUST and that means we are in full on “get ready for fall” and back-to-school mode! WHAT?! I feel like we just started summer… but alas, we are here. Last year I shared a few “back-to-school” DIY essential oil blend and oily product recipes to help you get you prepared for the school year (and the colder months, etc.)… and this year I wanted to piggy back on those posts and share a few more DIYs that I’ve made!
This first one is what I’m calling my “Breathin’ Easy” essential oil blend. It’s great for supporting the respiratory system and is specially diluted for your sweet kiddos so you can use it safely on them!
Check it out:
Here’s What You’ll Need:
*The drops and ratios in this particular recipe are meant for kiddos. If you’re making this blend for an adult, just increase the number of drops!
Why these particular essential oils and essential oil blends?
I chose these particular oils because they all have multi-purpose functions, but are all great oils for supporting the respiratory system! Also, they are all very gentle oils and perfect for using on kiddos! I have made this blend for both my son (who is currently 5.5 months old) and my daughter who is almost 3 years old, and it works great for both of them!
In your roller bottle, add in all of the essential oils. Don’t worry, if you don’t have all the essential oils I suggested above, just use what you have and maybe add in some more drops. It’s all about using what you have! There’s really not an exact science to it. 🙂
Then, once you’ve added in your essential oils, fill the rest of the bottle with a carrier oil. Pop on the roller ball fitment, close, and give it a good shake.
Roll your “breathin’ easy” essential oil blend on the chest, spine and / or on the vita-flex points for the respiratory system (which is essentially the upper arch of your foot). Apply morning and night or when the respiratory system just needs a little bit of extra love.
