DIY "Bark Thins" Dark Chocolate Almond Bark Recipe

Course Dessert
Author Molly Stillman

Ingredients

  • Three large bars of dark chocolate I love and used the dark chocolate baking bars that are UTZ certified from ALDI
  • One large bar of white chocolate I love and used the baking white chocolate bars that are UTZ certified from ALDI (optional)
  • 1 cup of raw almonds
  • Sea salt optional

Instructions

  1. Place the almonds in a plastic ziploc bag and crush them. I used a rolling pin and a meat tenderizer!
  2. In a glass bowl in the microwave or double boiler on the stove, melt the dark chocolate until smooth and creamy
  3. Once chocolate is smooth and melted, pour in the crushed almonds
  4. If you want to add the optional pinch of sea salt, you can do this now, too
  5. On parchment paper / wax paper and a baking sheet, pour the melted dark chocolate evenly onto it and let it cool (feel free to stick it in the freezer to flash cool it)
  6. If you want to add the drizzled white chocolate (because, duh), place the bark in a bowl and melt that.
  7. Once melted and the dark chocolate is cool, drizzle the white chocolate overtop
  8. Place back in the fridge or freezer until fully hardened
  9. Once hardened, break the chocolate up into pieces and enjoy!
  10. YUM!!!
