We all know by now that I am ALL about comfort. Comfort is my jam. I admit, I used to fall into the camp of “style over comfort.” Not anymore. Nope. No. Not a chance. Comfort wins every. time.

NOW, don’t get me wrong, sometimes I will maybe go the less-than-comfortable route if it’s a special occasion. But day to day? Comfort all the way.

We are also now in the full blown heat of North Carolina summer. Yes, I realize it’s still technically spring… but it feels like summer here now. It’s HOT. And so I’m, admittedly, having trouble finding outfits that are a combination of comfortable, stylish, AND will work in the heat.

This outfit is THAT. These shorts (or skort) from Threads 4 Thought (amazing fair trade company, BTW) are amazing. No seriously though… they’re AMAZING. They have pockets. They are the SOFTEST fabric ever. They basically feel like leggings… but in shorts form. They’re lightweight and breathable. The print is gorgeous. They have an ELASTIC WAISTBAND, therefore they are forgiving. For perspective, I’m a size 14ish and I am wearing a size large in these shorts and there’s plenty more room. They’re SO stretchy.

They are possibly my FAVORITE SHORTS I’ve ever owned. Ever. Ever. Ever.

I kid you not. I want them in every color and pattern they come in because they’re THAT GOOD.

Also, I love that I can easily dress them up and down. Throw on a denim jacket as a layering piece and I’ve got a fun casual outfit? Put on a chic lace top with heels and you’ve got date night attire. Throw on a t-shirt and you’ve got PAJAMAS.

Y’all. So versatile.

      1. Just noticing that their size guide says a large is an 8-10 but you said you’re usually a 14. I’m usually a 6 but wondering if I should order a small, even though I’m definitely not a 2! 😉
