There are times in life where we get in a rut of going through the motions. We keep doing what we have to do to get by. Life becomes… monotonous.

And there are times where we just have to snap out of it and do something that brings us joy. Now, look… I am not advocating for being selfish and living life solely for pleasure. It’s all about balance. But there are times where we really need to just… lighten up. You know what I mean?

Sometimes, something as simple as putting on a new pair of shoes and a beautiful handmade skirt can turn my day completely around. Meeting friends for an impromptu lunch date, enjoying an afternoon popsicle, or sitting down to read a book… it’s the little things that can really turn my day around.

A new pair of shoes would definitely make me feel a little at ease. I’ll have to say, going for a drive, reading a book, take a bath in the dark, and a date night with my hubby can change my day around.

  20. Totally know what you mean. I have a chance to do something that I’ve been wanting to do for a decade, but it all hinges on one thing that I don’t have control over… Really hard to wait!
