This is what I wore to my sweet friend Dani’s baby shower over the weekend. I recently snagged this dress from Old Navy maternity and I am pretty much in love with it. It’s so comfortable! I have a feeling it’s going to be worn A LOT this summer.
I had SUCH a great time planning and throwing Dani’s shower. I took Dani’s pregnancy announcement photos earlier this year and I’m so blessed to be going through this pregnancy with one of my best friends.
Now, I’ve thrown a lot of baby showers for friends (remember the Born-To-Rock Themed Shower I threw last year?) and one of my favorite parts of throwing a shower is coming up with the theme and overall feel of the day. I wanted to share some highlights and some of the details of the day!
Here is the invitation that I designed – I was so proud of this 🙂:
I just printed them out on cardstock and they worked out perfectly!
Now, Dani doesn’t love cake, but she does LOVE pineapple upside down cake. SO, my amazing sister made pineapple upside down cupcakes! They were SO STINKIN’ GOOD. Seriously. Oh my goodness. And then I stuck the little bicycle cutouts in the top to keep them in with the theme. 🙂
For the “guestbook” we had guests write silly messages, encouraging notes, or words of advice on diapers. You know, for when Dani or Keith need a little pick-me-up during those late-night diaper changes.
We even included a vintage Dani + Keith BICYCLE outside to “welcome” guests. This bike was actually at their WEDDING.
The whole group. 🙂
Me and Dani – she is exactly 10 weeks ahead of me – she’s pregnant with a girl. I am pregnant with a…?
Dani and her friends and family. 🙂
It was SUCH a great day! I am so blessed with such amazing friends. <3
Do you love throwing parties? Any cute party themes you’ve seen recently?
