I don’t know what made me think of this, but randomly, I just remembered a story of this one time where I found a Chipotle by the smell.
It’s no secret how much I love Chipotle and their delicious burritos. This one time I even “mom’ed” my burrito.
That’s neither here nor there.
A few summers ago I was in Portland, Oregon for a comedy festival. I was craving, I mean CRAVING a burrito.
When you get that hunger pang for a Chipotle burrito, nothing will satisfy until you get your hands on one.
Well, someone said there wasn’t a Chipotle in Portland, but I knew they had to be wrong.
We had just gotten off the trolley / streetcar and the scent hit me like a ton of bricks.
A Chipotle was near.
I said, “YOU GUYS! THERE’S A CHIPOTLE NEARBY!” (Granted, this was before iPhone MAPS, y’all… okay, I couldn’t just LOOK for a Chipotle on my phone).
They said, “No way.”
I said, “Yes way. I smell it.”
So, I followed the scent. I followed the scent FIVE BLOCKS.
And, I turned a corner, and BAM. There she was. A Chipotle there on the corner. I felt like I heard angels singing and the Shekhinah glory was shining down upon it.
My friends were befuddled. How did I find a Chipotle just by using my nose?
I’m that good, y’all.
Or I’m that sad.
Now, that I think about it. That’s really just sad. The whole thing.
Oh well.
What does my story have to do with my outfit today?
Absolutely nothing.
Happy Wednesday!
