Every woman needs a “favorite dress.” The dress that you can slip on and instantly feel beautiful. The dress that when you wear it, you feel like you can take on the world. The dress that is flattering, comfortable, and never fails you. The dress that every time it’s on you, your significant other says, “Man, I love you in that dress.” or “Dang, girl… you look HOT in that dress.” The dress you can wear to run errands, just because… or to the office… or to a wedding. Because it’s that versatile. The dress that is the perfect confidence booster, no matter what.
For me, ladies and gents (if you’re reading this, gents)… that is this dress.
I know I’ve worn it before on this blog (here and here), but I just love it so much. And I wear it so much. That hey, I figured I’d show you yet another way I’ve worn it. I wore the dress this way with my favorite white denim jacket over it and my fancy gold glitter loafers out to run errands one day. Why? Just because I felt like it.
Proof that I do not take myself too seriously:
I really, honestly do feel beautiful in this dress. I’ve talked about my struggles with my confidence about my personal appearance post-baby before… but I just feel like shift dress hits me in the right places, the colors are pretty much my favorite, and the print is the perfect amount of girly and awesome. That’s the technical term. Or something.
Anyway, all this to say that I truly, truly believe in the fact that every woman should own a dress that makes her feel like a rockstar. Sometimes it’s worth the investment in a dress like that that you KNOW you will wear for years to come.
What about you? Do you own a favorite dress? Is there a dress (or other clothing item) in your closet that does all that for you?
