A few weeks ago, I shared what I wore for our Charleston, South Carolina anniversary / maternity photo session that we did with the AMAZING Annamarie Akins Photography! Well, I promised I would share some of my favorite images from our session and I am delivering on that promise.

I am so, so, so, SO glad we did this. We hadn’t really had pictures taken together of just US as a married couple (you know, not pregnant or anything like that), since our wedding. And, since our anniversary is tomorrow, we just had Valentine’s Day, and we’re in the throes of adding another child to our family, it’s SO important for us to remember the core of our family… our relationship with each other and our relationship with Christ.

I realize this might sound silly or something… but I’m serious. Once you add kids into the mix, it can be so easy to forget that before we were parents, we were husband and wife. Getting back to the CORE of that is vital. And, this session and these images really helped to remind us of that. Annamarie made us feel so relaxed and comfortable in front of her camera. John and I will truly, truly treasure these images for YEARS to come. I am so grateful to her for capturing them!
