  1. I almost thought that was you and your hubby on the cover of that book, haha!! ..and nothing wrong with Instagram posts! (In fact, sometimes that’s the only time I can get pictures on mine!) Love it!

  2. I really wish I lived in your area so I could hang out with you and Brooke! I love her blog too! And your new light is a huge improvement….I would be excited about that too!

  3. Yay for being OK with adult presents..not THAT kind, but I was SO EXCITED to get a blender as an engagement present. Seriously, LOVED IT. Also, I’m SUPER excited that Young House Love is coming to Palo Alto (about 10 minutes from my hizzouse) in a couple weeks for a book signing. I squealed, and I can not wait to see them <3, and DONT worry about the regurgitated instagram. love it.

  4. It’s posts like these that I read your blog for, Molly. And yes, getting excited about lights and buying yourself DIY Home Improvement manuals definitely means you’re becoming an adult. Some of my best presents this Christmas were power tools and the books telling me how to use them. My grandparents gave me a shop vac – which, given that Kristi and I are sanding down the walls of what used to be our kitchen, will likely be incredibly useful. (It’s been a construction zone for the past two months because life keeps us away from working on it. I’ve been working sixty hour weeks and she’s been pulled away with other problems all the time. I had two solid days this week to work on it, but being that our lingering Christmas colds are determined to keep us bedridden, zero progress got done. Word to the wise – unless you have major time to devote to it, major projects like whole room renovations are the reason why people hire contractors. If I had the money for a professional, this would have been done in a week, tops.) And you know, sometimes you just don’t feel like getting dressed to go out. We’ve been tempted to go out in pajama pants before ourselves, but even to the IHoP by CNU, we still wear at least jeans.

  5. Share away, sister… It’s your blog! Btw, totally love that letter… That is so something I would have done. I was the crusade-fighting tomboy too 🙂

  6. Oh man. Can we be friends just so I can eat one of those cupcakes, too? YUM! Plus, your cute cell phone case in the last picture totally makes up for the sweats. And I’m positive that you WERE the dressiest there! Ha! 🙂
Nice to “meet” you via Jeannett! 🙂

  7. I love Young House Love, and I also bought their book for Christmas for myself!

Also, thanks for posting your less than put together waffle house attire. You are always SO gosh darn cute, I feel better knowing you are sometimes in casual clothes. Hahaha!

  8. Those cupcakes look so yummy! And I actually laughed out loud when I saw the picture of your letter on Instagram a few days ago. It’s SO sweet–and I love how you carved your name into the sidewalks once you got them. So funny! Happy weekend, Molly!

  9. 1. I want a cupcake now. Thanks. 😛
    2. I hate flourescent lights and my husband loves them (really?!) – I’m jealous your husband will change them out for you. haha
    3. I also bought that book with a Barnes & Noble gift card from Xmas!
    4. I too was at Waffle House New Year’s Day…although for me it was about 2am, bahaha.

    Have a fabulous weekend!

  10. That pic of you girls with your cupcakes is so cute! (And now I want one!) And that light fixture is gorgeous, I can see why you were excited 🙂

  11. Ha – if it wasn’t for work I’m pretty sure I’d be in sweats everyday (if anyone I know saw me at the grocery store I’d be ashamed!) – so I loved the shot of the track pants oufit – way to keep it real girl!

  12. Love the new light Molly! Definitely a more attractive piece for your home…
And LOL at the sweatpants shot! I totally bum it up some days…even more so now that I don’t fit into most clothes. Love that you were still the dressiest people in the Waffle House!
    Have a wonderful Friday friend!

  14. I love the new lamp. We have a SERIOUSLY UGLY pink chandelier in our bedroom from the previous owners that we have just not gotten around to taking out yet.
