You guys, I have been ON THE HUNT for a pair of lace shorts for the past two years. For real. But, every single pair of lace shorts I tried on was too small for me or just made me look washed out or top heavy or… you name it. I could never find a pair that I liked or was flattering on me.

LOFT had their 50% off EVERYTHING sale last week and I was killing some time before an appointment and, you know, just WANDERED on in to the store and saw these pretty lace shorts sitting on the display. And, of course, right above them was that 50% off sign. So, I took that sign as a sign and I decided to try them on.

When I tried them on in the dressing room, I squealed, Lilly smiled and squealed and we both knew it was meant to be. They are so comfortable, the fit is PERFECT, the color is amazing, they are easy to wash (no dry cleaning involved!), and they don’t stretch and sag after a few hours of wear. They also aren’t too short… the 4″ inseam is just the right length. I know these are going to be a serious staple in my closet for YEARS to come. Considering I’ve wanted a pair for so long, I don’t think I’m going to un-want them anytime soon. Or something.

Also, I mentioned in my Stitch Fix post last week that I wasn’t totally sold on this tribal blouse and that I would have to play around with different ways of styling it. Well, I have mixed it and matched it with some items in my closet and this blouse has really grown on me. On a whim, I decided to pair it with my new lace shorts, and I ended up LOVING it. SO glad I decided to keep the blouse after all!

What about you? Do you have any particular items you’ve been on the hunt for for years and have yet to find? Any items that you’re mixing and matching with?
