It’s time for my first Stitch Fix review of the new year!
I’m gonna go ahead and give y’all the spoiler alert: I kept EVERYTHING in this box. Kimberly, my stylist, knocked it out of the park with this one!
As always, I share the items I got, the size, the price, and I review the fit, quality, etc. of each item! My goal is to give you as honest and thorough a review as possible! Also, please forgive the fact that my photos were taken on my doorstep and I have minimal to no makeup on… it’s been POURING rain for what feels like forever and taking good pictures outside has been a bit challenging… annnnnd since it was gross outside I didn’t really feel like putting a face on. Just keepin’ it real. Oh, and bonus points if you can spot my dogs peeking out the windows in the pictures. Haha!!
If you are interested in trying out Stitch Fix and getting a fix of your own, you can do so here!
I wasn’t 100% sold on this sweater out of the box… I liked the print, it was soft, but it didn’t necessarily look like “me” – if that makes sense. The front print is like a soft, silky material, while the sleeves and back of the sweater are a soft, sheer sweater material. It is a thinner material on the back, so you definitely need to wear a tank top underneath.
Anyway, once I put the sweater on, my husband said, “Oh I like that! KEEP IT!” And when husband says keep it, you know it has to stay. Haha!
But seriously… once I tried it on (just like it is the case with so many other Stitch Fix pieces) I fell in love with it! So kept it, I did.
I had specifically requested a coat and had pinned a bunch on my Stitch Fix Pinterest board. To be totally honest, all of my coats are too small for me and I haven’t purchased a new coat in years. None of my coats zip. Sad times, people. Sad times.
Anyway, when I pulled this pea coat out of the box I audibly gasped. It’s amazing. And then I put it on. And it zipped! IT’S SO WARM AND AWESOME AND PERFECT. I just love it. The faux fur hood is detachable so if you needed to wear the coat without it, you could… but honestly, I LOVE the hood… I don’t know why you’d want to take it off.
In any event, the coat is EXTREMELY well made… it’s probably one of the nicest coats I’ve ever owned… and honestly, I was SHOCKED that it was priced so low… I would have assumed a coat like this would be WAY more expensive than $74. This is a coat that I know is going to last me for years to come. It was a DEFINITE keep.
I’ve been really wanting to try some more “edgy” pieces lately… I’ve been drawn to faux leather detailing and other mixed materials… so I was really excited to try these pants. I was nervous they wouldn’t fit because I had tried a pair of Liverpool pants in my November fix and they were just a little too small in the waist.
But, because I always make sure to try EVERYTHING on, no matter what, I still tried the pants on.
And I am SO glad I did. They fit like a GLOVE. I can’t even begin to tell you how comfortable these pants are. They are really stretchy… they almost feel like leggings… They honestly feel like my old maternity pants, which, if you’ve ever tried on maternity pants, you know how comfortable they are.
I LOVE the leather detailing – it makes them really interesting and unique. My husband said he loved the way these pants looked on me and he told me I better keep them… So, I obliged. 🙂
I have quite a few other black and white blouses similar to this in my closet, and I wasn’t sold on the bird print at first, so I wasn’t quite sure I’d like this top. The material surprised me when I picked it up – it almost feels like pure silk… which I loved. It is really soft. It’s more silky than satiny, if that makes sense.
Anyway. I put the top on and loved it. It’s comfortable, it’s soft, it’s a great neutral print, it can be easily dressed up or dressed down… it is a definite keep!
I LOVE basic striped tops. They are classic and never go out of style… so I was happy to see this in my fix… but I was even HAPPIER when I noticed the awesome faux leather elbow patches and leather stitching on the bottom slits.
This top is REALLY stretchy, very soft, and long… I have a long torso so I like longer tops that don’t cut me off in an awkward place. I knew this top would be a keeper if it fit… and sho’ ’nuff… it did!
AWESOME. Probably my favorite fix yet. It’s the third time I’ve kept everything in my box and I just loved every single piece I got… and so did my husband (which is important! 🙂)
I can’t wait for my next one to get here… I feel like they just keep getting better and better.
