How many of you have the summer uniform of shorts and a t-shirt? Raise your hands…
*Raises hand*
Yeah, that’s what I thought. A lot of you. I am TOTALLY the shorts and a t-shirt girl… while I try to not do that TOO much, I just can’t help it. It’s easy. It’s comfortable. It’s a no brainer look for a hot summer day. BUT, shorts and a t-shirt doesn’t have to be mundane and boring! I LOVE how there are so many awesome trends and styles out there right now that take the simple clothing piece like SHORTS and really jazz them up.
I am a HUGE fan of these textured shorts I got a few months back in one of my Stitch Fix fixes. They have pockets, they’re insanely comfortable (they have an ELASTIC WAISTBAND, PEOPLE!), I love the color, and they have the really fun detailing on the front that gives them some interest. I also love that they aren’t super short. No booty shorts for me, okay?
And then you have this top which is lightweight, flowy, comfortable, and flattering. It’s just so easy to throw on with a pair of shorts like these! And boom… you have a shorts and a t-shirt outfit that is way more interesting than a normal pair of shorts and a plain ol’ t-shirt.
Once again… I get a little out of hand sometimes…
What about you? How do you like to jazz up the shorts and t-shirt look? What has been your summer uniform this year?
