Look. When the choker trend started coming back, I was straight up like, “NO. Nope. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I wore those in the 90s and I am NOT bringing it back.”
But then my girl Kilee over at Nickel and Suede brought them back and I started to second guess my initial, “NOPE.” And, the more I started seeing chokers worn in a more “modern” fashion, if you will, the more I started loving them again.
I mean, I ROCKED me a choker in the 90s. ROCKED IT. And I thought there would be no way to wear one now without it looking, well, SUPER 90s. But, I gotta say… it can be done and I, admittedly, am LOVING it.
Fashion is something to have FUN with. I’ve always said that! Try something new! While a lot of what I wear is basic and simple, I also LOVE switching it up and putting on an outfit for date night (or something like that) and just having FUN with my wardrobe. Life is too short to not try something new or bring back an old trend in a new way.
Who’s with me?!
What about you? Have you jumped on the choker-trend-resurgence? Do you ever try edgy styles just for fun?

I love the vest, it looks great with the choker! Every time I see 90’s trends in magazines I think “been there, done that, not doing it again!” but you should never say never I suppose!

That looks great on you! I admittedly still have my choker from back in the 90’s, remember those tribal looking ones that were stretchy…yep still have it.
Great outfit XO. Would love for you to stop by and share with #linkupwithlisa @ http://www.beauty101bylisa.com/2016/06/linkupwithlisa-52-in-honor-of-my-daddio.html

My husband loves chokers, but I haven’t bought any yet. Kind of hard to find in my area.
You are rocking the choker (and that gorgeous dress) now! I’m still hesitant about this trend, but thanks for the reminder to have fun with style–that’s what it’s really all about anyway!
You are rockin this look ! love the edginess of the vest and fridge bag !! thank you for hosting.
I bought the brown one for my daughter and she loves it! I am thinking of getting her the black too. It looks amazing on you! Susan
I’m going to be honest…I never stopped liking the choker trend! And you are totally rocking it now, too! I love this dress and the way you paired it with the vest and fringe bag and black choker. You are equal parts feminine and badass! Super cool look!
And, yes, I do love to edge it up sometimes and go for the little bit of badass every now and again!

Cute look! I am never comfortable with necklaces or necklines that are around my neck so chokers are a no go for me.
Thank you for hosting and hope you are having a fab week!
