PACT Apparel | #FashionForGood Friday

August 5, 2016·

When I first started becoming more conscious of what I was purchasing and really trying to intentionally purchase from ethical fashion brands, one of the more difficult categories I found to shop ethically in was “basics.”

What do I mean by basics? I mean, your basic t-shirts, loungewear, socks, and underwear. I discovered PACT apparel and fell in LOVE with them! Their clothes are so comfortable and so soft.

What makes PACT so awesome?

Well, first… PACT apparel is a fair trade certified company that makes amazing clothing, underwear, etc. using certified fair trade organic cotton. PACT partners with OCS (Organic Content Standard), GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), and Fair Trade USA to certify the organic content in their apparel and ensure that all PACT clothing is made ethically and sustainably.

PACT also vows to never use sweatshops. They care about the process of making clothing and they care about the people who are a part of it. EVERYONE in the process, from the farmer planting the seed on the farm to the seamster sewing the final stitch in the factory. Their clothing is sweatshop free, ethically produced, sustainably made, and part of a huge movement that is transforming the way apparel is made. PACT’s factories are top tier when it comes to environmental and social standards. They only partner with factories that pay workers a living wage and treat them with dignity and respect.

Here’s a great little video clip that shows some of the faces and the process behind the clothing PACT produces…

My husband also LOVES PACT’s undershirts and boxers. They are his absolute favorite! Don’t worry, not sharing a picture. 🙂
