Threads 4 Thought | #FashionForGood Friday

October 28, 2016·

I realize I say this nearly every week, but I LOVE (L-O-V-E) this week’s #FashionForGood Friday feature… this week I’m talking about Threads 4 Thought. Threads 4 Thought is quite literally one of my absolute favorite ethical and sustainable fashion brands and they are doing some SERIOUSLY amazing things to change the way the fashion industry works.

On the surface, Threads 4 Thought carries awesome women’s and men’s clothing, including active wear!! (Ethically made workout clothing? Yes, please!) But on a much deeper level, Threads 4 Thought is really doing so much more to create a culture of kindness in the world.

Threads 4 Thought focuses mainly on three things – mission, materials, and manufacturing.

Their mission is to produce ethical and sustainable fashion that improves the planet (and the people on it). They are a certified B corporation which means that they really are taking every step possible to use their business as a force for good in the world.

Next they focus on their materials. They use all materials that are sustainable and environmentally friendly… things like organic cotton (SO SOFT), recycled polyester, and lenzing modal (which is made from beech tree pulp!! so cool!) What I love is that ALL of my Threads 4 Thought pieces are SO comfortable and so soft. Seriously.

Lastly (and to me, most importantly), Threads 4 Thought focuses on their manufacturing. They manufacture in China, Kenya, and India using only factories that treat their employees with kindness, respect, dignity, and paid a living wage. Their factories are WRAP certified, sustainable, and some are even fair-trade certified.

I seriously can’t say enough great things about this company! My ONLY beef is that they don’t have a ton of larger or plus sizes available… BUT… for sizing reference… I usually wear an XL / size 14 and all of the size larges from T4T fit me well! (So hopefully that helps give you some sizing perspective…)

What about you? Have you ever heard of Threads 4 Thought? Have you shopped from them before? What ethical companies are you loving lately?
