A few weeks ago I shared a post with you guys on my favorite ethical fall sweaters. And the NEXT DAY, I learned about this company, Hope Made in the World… and fell. in. love. with their mission, their ethos, and their products! I will be honest, I’m embarrassed that I hadn’t experienced them earlier! THIS COMPANY IS AMAZING and this fall sweater… this is a life changing sweater. (In many ways!)
This sweater is ethically and sustainably made in Peru, is child labor free, sweatshop free, and it’s made from 100% baby alpaca that is sustainably and ethically sourced. You know how some sweaters can be itchy?? Not this one! This fall sweater’s SO soft (softer than cashmere!) and incredibly well made.
It’s also one of those sweaters that I know is going to be well loved and well worn in my closet for years. This fall sweater is a classic fit, the color is the perfect fall and winter color, and it’s really comfortable. The high neck is also not *too* high, if you know what I mean. Some turtlenecks can leave you feeling like you’re being choked by a sweater, haha! But this one hits at the right place. It’s also just so warm and cozy!
I’ve worn my fall sweater a couple of times since I got it already and have gotten so many questions about it every time I wear it! It’s such a classic.
I have been on the hunt for the last couple of years for a really classic fall sweater and this basically fits all of the criteria I was looking for. Can you tell I’m just a little bit obsessed with it?
Ladies, send this post to the men in your life and send the not-so-subtle hint that you want this sweater for Christmas. It’s that awesome.
Hope Made in the World also has fabulous scarves, cardigans, and some basic tees, too!
What about you? What do you look for in a “classic” fall sweater? What kinds of sweaters do you love to wear year after year and never go out of style?
