Lei-Lei is a socially conscious ecommerce fashion marketplace that showcases uniquely designed handcrafted items by women artisans from impoverished countries. Our mission is to connect fair trade businesses with eco-conscious consumers who care about helping the artisans and their families. Our goal is to inspire positive consumer behavior to bring about real change, both in society and the environment.
From Vi Bella Jewelry:
Our whole mission at Vi Bella Jewelry is centered on providing a path out of poverty for our artisans and a deep desire to form a community for them that is encouraging and prayerful. The employment that Vi Bella artisans are given creating jewelry, accessories, and hand sewn goods also creates more beautiful lives for them, their children, and their communities.
In addition to steady income, Vi Bella provides school sponsorships for all of our artisan’s children in Haiti and we fund after-school programs for children in Mexico. We also give back to the communities in which we serve by financially supporting schools, partnering with orphanages for school sponsorships, and being part of collaborative efforts that improve living conditions.
At our home office in Iowa, we employ several women who have been referred to us by local agencies. We provide them with steady work and a supportive environment to assist in creating stability in their lives.
Our scripture as a company is Micah 6:8, and we pray to love as Christ loved us, walking humbly alongside our employees, artisans, communities, and customers.
