I’ll be honest, I’ve been really hesitant to hop on the all-white-outfit bandwagon / trend train, whathaveyou. I’m already super fair-skinned, so the thought of decking myself out in an entirely white outfit makes me think I’m going to look super washed out and like I will totally blend in with my clothing. Or something.
But, while I’ve felt somewhat limited in my clothing these days, I try to make due with what I have and I am trying to use this as an opportunity to step a little outside of my comfort zone and have FUN. That’s what fashion is all about, right? Right.
So, I decided to pair these white maternity jeans with my favorite ivory crochet blouse, but chose to tone down all the white with a black cardigan and black bubble necklace. (Although I do admit that these white jeans look a bit mint-colored in these photos… dang lighting.)
A little style-tip: if there’s ever a trend you’re nervous to try – (READ: I am even hesitant, or even RESISTANT to try certain trends… wedge sneakers, anyone????) – try easing into the trend by doing it, subtly. If that makes sense. For example: scared of stripes? Try a striped accessory! Scared of the all white trend? Break it up with a colored cardigan. You catch my drift, right?
What about you? Is the all-white outfit trend something you’ve tried? What other trend(s) are you nervous to try?
