This outfit is one of those outfits that I absolutely love, but there’s also part of me that’s like, “Is it too patriotic schoolboy?” Even if it is, I love it. I love the colors, I love the individual pieces, I love it all.

On a separate and completely unrelated note (to this outfit)… I wanted to share my INSANE amount of excitement for the upcoming #LillyForTarget collaboration! If you haven’t heard… the latest designer collaboration for Target is none other than LILLY PULITZER – coming April 19th!

So many of y’all texted / emailed / Tweeted / Facebooked me asking if I’d heard… I love that you guys heard about it and were like, “MOLLY!!” That makes my DAY!!

First we had TOMS for Target this year and now LILLY for Target?!?!?!?! You guys have no idea how much I am freaking out. It’s a dream come true!

But I also want to make a comment about some of the negativity that I have seen and read on social media about the collaboration… frankly, it makes me sad! People are saying things like, “Lilly is rolling over in her grave right now.” and “What a disgrace to Lilly!” and “This just cheapens the brand.” And I’ve seen things said that I would never want to even repeat…

To the naysayers and the “haters” of this collaboration, I say this… If you wear Lilly for the exclusivity… you’re completely missing out on the point of Lilly.

Lilly herself was about bringing joy and color to this world. She was about treating life like a party. Living colorfully. Giving generously. She was about making women feel and look beautiful in bright, bold, unique prints. She wasn’t about shutting people out… she wasn’t about closing the doors and only letting the “cool” people in. That’s one of the things I loved so much about Lilly and the brand… is how much she placed an emphasis on feeling good, looking good, and bringing joy to others through her bright, colorful clothing.

I LOVE this collaboration and the fact that more, everyday women will be able to have access to the beautiful, bright, fun, joyful prints we know and love… well I think that’s AWESOME. I can’t wait!

Anyway. Just my two cents. Just my thoughts. April 19th can’t come soon enough!
