I have been a huge fan of prAna’s clothing for a few years now (I’ve talked about prAna a lot on the blog!), but to be honest, I’ve only ever really tried their athletic wear. prAna is one of the best fair trade clothing brands that carry organic cotton clothing and I’m in love! These organic cotton leggings – the prAna Leda pant are so comfortable! These would be great for wearing to a yoga or pilates class and then throwing on a cute tee and a denim vest or jacket to dress them up.

The key to styling leggings as pants though, for sure, is to make sure that the bum is covered! 🙂

I also wanted to show how I styled this adorable Kornelie organic cotton tank. It’s super lightweight, and a great neutral tank that can easily be worn with jeans, shorts, or a skirt! I love it with my favorite high waisted jeans and some wedges to make it feel a little bit more dressy.

But WHY does it matter to shop organic cotton clothing? Three MAIN reasons:

  1. organic cotton is better for people – the farmers and their families are no longer exposed to toxic chemicals
  2. organic cotton is better for the soil – it helps to regenerate soil quicker and doesn’t deposit harmful things into the ground
  3. you save 115 gallons of water just by switching to ONE organic cotton shirt…

So overall, organic cotton is better for people AND the planet! Win, win!

What about you? Do you shop organic cotton clothing? Have you tried any clothing from prAna?
